It's Hard to Beat Burleigh is based on a photo I took in November this year when I was on the Gold Coast visiting my mum. We went to the Burleigh Pavilion for lunch to celebrate what would have been my parents' 59th wedding anniversary (my dad passed away in 2024). Burleigh is a favourite spot of mine, I love to swim (and shop!) there, it's actually my favourite beach on the Gold Coast. My parents used to spend a lot of time there together too, on the beach and getting their steps in on the beautiful coastal path.  On this particular day, I snapped this photo after lunch, heading back to our car. I chose to keep the people out of it for simplicity and to highlight the iconic building. 
 
This size painting is perfect for a small wall or part of a gallery hang and could also work on a shelf or mantel. It's a great size for gifting, too, because it's an easy size to find a home for.
