Alone in the Ocean Pool is based on a photo I took of the ocean pool at Cronulla back in 2023.  It was an absolutely glorious autumn day and during a lunch time walk, I snapped a pic of this woman standing in the water. She had the pool to herself and I remember thinking what a beautiful little slice of paradise she'd managed to carve out for herself.  
 
I kept the painting simple, removing the fencing from the foreground to allow the swimmer to be the focus. This also ensured the painting isn't too busy, helping to convey the serenity and calmness of the scene.
 
This painting is ready to hang but can also stand quite sturdily on a shelf / bench.
