Big Seas, Ocean Breeze measures 60x60cm plus raw oak frame and is made with artist's quality acrylic paint on canvas, framed in raw oak. It is 63 x 63cm including the frame. 
 
I usually have reference photos for months, even years, before I get around to painting them but this one was different. Big Seas, Ocean Breeze is based on a photo I took at Cronulla in early April and I couldn't wait to paint it. A beautifully sunny day, the light was just perfect when I snapped this photo of a lady sitting on the grass, watching the turbulence in the ocean as the waves crashed into the pool. There were a few swimmers but I chose to leave them out and keep the focus on this lady in her cute bikini and the glistening water. I hope you like it!
