Jacaranda on Corea Street measures 20x20cm and 23x23cm including the flooded gum frame. It's made using quality artist's acrylic paint on canvas and comes ready to hang and complete with certificate of authenticity.
How wonderful is Jacaranda season? Few things signal "summer's coming" and bring life to suburban streets like Jacaranda trees. Even the simplest of views can become stunning with the injection of purple, particularly when pitted against a gloriously blue sunny sky.
This particular scene is of Corea Street, Gymea in Sydney's Sutherland Shire. On one of my morning walks, I took a photo of the gorgeous purple canopy last November. I've only painted a few jacaranda scenes in the past (and two were commissions) so I was super keen to get the colours out again and I thoroughly enjoyed painting Jacaranda on Corea Street!
This painting is ready to hang but can also stand quite sturdily on a shelf / bench. It also works very well with my other new piece Stop in Surry Hills.
