Lunchtime Swim in the Ocean Pool is based on a pic I took back in March 2023. It was one of those warm, perfectly sunny Autumnal days and as my husband says (every year without fail), best time of the year. 
 
I took a photo of the ocean pool at Cronulla under the clear blue skies, the sun casting shadows and the waves breaking against the back of the pool. There were a few more people in the photo (though not a lot) but I decided to keep this piece very simple, focusing on the lone swimmer preparing for her session. Although this was based on Cronulla, I chose to keep the details of the pool out too, such as the railings and stairs, enabling the viewer to imagine this scene at any ocean pool.
