Time for a Swim in Yamba captures the view looking down onto the ocean pool with main beach to the left. This painting is based on a photo I took in October 2024 just before 10am. At that time of the morning, the sun was catching on the water beautifully, creating little sparkles of dancing light under a sky that looked like it could go either way as the day progressed. I'm really happy with this painting, I aimed for a looseness in the brushwork that doesn't come naturally to me, I really need to work at that, and I hope I achieved it.
