Winter in Burraneer captures a streetscape in this beautiful leafy suburb around 5pm on a winter's day. The shadows are long and weakening, the sun caught perfectly on the large but nearly leafless tree. The reference photo for this painting was taken in August 2022 - so it's been brewing for a while! Glad I finally made this piece, I really enjoyed working with the warm colours and I love them against the clear blue sky.
